When can you start using a weighted sleep sack?
Our gently weighted sleep sacks are designed for newborns through toddlerhood. Once your baby starts rolling over or is breaking free of the swaddle, it's time introduce the sleep sack. What does a weighted sleep sack do?
Sleep sacks help regulate your infant's body temperature, which keeps them from being too cold or too hot and makes their sleep just right! A sleep sack also eliminates the need for extra blankets, which helps keep your baby's sleep-space safe. A weighted sleep sack goes one step further by applying gentle pressure that helps your baby feel calm, fall asleep faster and stay asleep longer. Can a baby sleep on its stomach with a weighted sleep sack?
Yes! The evenly distributed weight is not intended to restrict your baby's movement. Also, our weighted sleep sacks are reversible. So, if your baby is a tummy sleeper, you can simply put the sleep sack on backward, so they still benefit from the gentle weight. Learn more about stomach sleep safety here!

How should a sleep sack fit?
You'll want to size your sleep sack based on your baby's weight and height. For safety reasons, you should never size up. Our products fit true to size, and we do not recommend using the weighted sleep sack until your baby has met the minimum weight requirements. Learn more about sleep sack sizing and fit here!
Are weighted sleep sacks worth it?

What should a baby wear under a sleep sack?
Your baby can wear clothes under the sleep sack. However, it is not absolutely necessary. Many parents use a onesie or lightweight pajama, but it depends on the temperature in the room. To avoid the risk of SIDS, you never want a baby to overheat while sleeping. Our weighted sacks have a 1.0 TOG so that your baby can comfortably wear them year-round. Effective at soothing baby: still trying to figure that out! I bought a size up and it’s clearly big on her (plus it’s not recommended to have babies wear outside their size). I bought this for her sleep regression and then realized she couldn’t wear it yet (she’s 5 months now). She also is a belly sleeper and so I’m not too sure if we will ever get the desired effect out of this sack HOWEVER I’m glad to have it on hand for in the future/next baby anyways. I love dreamland baby products, and she currently uses the unweighted sleep sack and it’s phenomenal.

it absolutely saved our sleep! it is the only way our baby will sleep without being held! we’ve tried other weighted sleep sack and they do not work for us. before we found dreamland me and my husband took shifts staying awake for the first 3 weeks! i truly recommend to every parent! ❤️

My baby was a NICU baby and got used to sleeping with his arms out and not swaddled. When we finally came home it was a struggle for me because he hated being swaddled and he would wake up a lot at night. I came across the dream weighted sleep swaddle and let me tell you my baby sleeps almost all night. He now only wakes up one time during the night. This swaddle did wonders for us. Not only does he feel snug but the weight make him think he is still in my arms! I would definitely recommend and definitely would purchase another one.
