When can you start using a weighted sleep sack?
Our gently weighted sleep sacks are designed for newborns through toddlerhood. Once your baby starts rolling over or is breaking free of the swaddle, it's time introduce the sleep sack. What does a weighted sleep sack do?
Sleep sacks help regulate your infant's body temperature, which keeps them from being too cold or too hot and makes their sleep just right! A sleep sack also eliminates the need for extra blankets, which helps keep your baby's sleep-space safe. A weighted sleep sack goes one step further by applying gentle pressure that helps your baby feel calm, fall asleep faster and stay asleep longer. Can a baby sleep on its stomach with a weighted sleep sack?
Yes! The evenly distributed weight is not intended to restrict your baby's movement. Also, our weighted sleep sacks are reversible. So, if your baby is a tummy sleeper, you can simply put the sleep sack on backward, so they still benefit from the gentle weight. Learn more about stomach sleep safety here!
Do sleep sacks make babies sleep better?

How should a sleep sack fit?
You'll want to size your sleep sack based on your baby's weight and height. For safety reasons, you should never size up. Our products fit true to size, and we do not recommend using the weighted sleep sack until your baby has met the minimum weight requirements. Learn more about sleep sack sizing and fit here!
Are weighted sleep sacks worth it?

What should a baby wear under a sleep sack?
Your baby can wear clothes under the sleep sack. However, it is not absolutely necessary. Many parents use a onesie or lightweight pajama, but it depends on the temperature in the room. To avoid the risk of SIDS, you never want a baby to overheat while sleeping. Our weighted sacks have a 1.0 TOG so that your baby can comfortably wear them year-round. So thankful I found Dreamland weighted sleep sacks for my son. As soon as we put it on him, he is instantly soothed and feels like he is getting wrapped up in a big hug. It is light enough that he is still able to kick his feet to self soothe and move around, but weighted enough that it helps him sleep through multiple sleep cycles during nap and bed time. So thankful for this product! Truly one of my top baby items.

Our little guy is 3 months old. He was waking up every few hours. But now wearing the sleep sack he wakes up only 1-2 times a night. And sometimes is sleeping 5 to 5 1/2 hour stretches. I’m so thankful to have found this! Moms barely get any rest if any at all. So I know we could all use a little sleep!
This is great to if your baby sleeps like he is fighting his way through a concert he can still move, sleep flat or on his side. But he doesn’t go crazy. Also a great transition for swaddled babies!
