I ordered this swaddle because the cotton swaddles (even with fancy zippers, velcro etc) were driving me crazy! The fabric gets all bunched up when undoing and redoing it for breastfeeding through the night and you have to get the perfect stretch, pull and cover of the baby in order for her not to break out. I’ve spent so much time on swaddling these past few weeks. I had enough.
This swaddle is a dream. There are two large flaps for swaddling, and the seams are low enough to cross the baby below the shoulder (the cotton alternatives would slip above the shoulder and become uncomfortable for baby causing more squirming). It’s so quick and easy.
Then the zip portion totally encloses the baby. Genius. No cloth riding up out of the swaddle portion or bunching at babies shoulders.
The weighted element. I swear this is why my baby slept 6 hours on night 1 of wearing this. She’s so comfortable and warm. She can’t kick around, roll or startle herself awake. It took her a few minutes to get used the first night but once she fell asleep she stayed asleep. Very happy parents over here.
Lastly, she literally woke up smiling. We have a colicky baby and have been desperate for smiles lately as it’s only time we know she’s not uncomfortable or in pain. Again, very happy parents over here!
