Meet Lisa Dunn
Hi, I’m Lisa, a stay-at-home mom from Kentucky. My husband Jonathan and I have been together for 13 years. We got married in July of 2020 on our farm in Montgomery Co. KY. Jonathan works as a pipeliner and has been an amazing stepdad to my two children Katlyn (soon to be 24 in October) and Mitchell, who is 19. We welcomed our first baby together, Banner Gaige on June 26, 2023. The last 11 weeks have flown by but have been the sweetest days.
Lisa’s Story
I was most recently an office manager for a physical therapy office. While I loved what I did at 6 months pregnant, I gave my notice that upon our baby’s arrival, I would resign and become a stay-at-home mom. Banner’s due date was June 25th. We went in that night to be induced. We checked in at 8. I got an epidural at 1:15, & my water broke within 30 min. At 8:30, I was fully dilated and waited until my OB arrived at 9. Banner arrived at 9:19. I often wonder what day his birthday would have been if we had waited a little longer. However, our birth plan went perfectly. We couldn’t have received better care!
Dreamland Baby Experience:
For several years, I’ve followed influencer Alexa Jean Brown on Instagram. She used Dreamland with her babies from the time I found her. She always raves about them, and her followers could see firsthand how amazing they were and that they truly worked! Sleep is important, especially for new parents! I wanted to be sure we had exactly what we needed to make sure we could be at our best to give our best to Banner. It was the very first thing I purchased within 2 weeks of finding out we were expecting. We took our Dreamland Swaddle with us to the hospital. He was 8 lbs. 8 oz at birth, so he was able to use it right away. For his social media announcement, he was in his Peter Rabbit Dreamland. Banner has actually been a really good sleeper from the start. I quickly noticed his wake-up times were the times I had to visit our bathroom while still pregnant. He was close to 2 months old when he started waking up more (3x a night instead of the usual 2x). I started using the sleep sack, and now I have to wake him to eat once during the night and again at about 6 that morning. We’ve even had a few nights that he’s already sleeping all the way through, and I’m not waking up to feed!
I’m a Dreamland Baby Mom because…
Banner sleeps so well in his that he will have all the sizes until he transitions to the weighted blanket! I would gladly share anything that could help another mama out.
